Top 10 holders
Top 10 holders is the percentage of the total supply held by the ten largest wallets. The higher it is, the more a handful of people can crash the price by selling.
An important detail: a good checker excludes liquidity pools and the bonding curve from this number. On a freshly migrated token the liquidity pool can hold 90%+ of the supply — that is not a whale, it is the market itself. If a tool shows top 10 at 97% on a token you know is healthy, it is probably counting the pool. Edge Rugcheck uses the pool-excluded figure, the same one you see on Axiom.
What is normal
- New Pairs: concentration is naturally high in the first minutes because few people have bought yet. 25–35% can be normal.
- Final Stretch: as the bonding curve fills, more holders join. Above 30% starts to be a warning.
- Migrated: a healthy graduated token usually has top 10 below 20%. Higher values mean a few wallets control the float.
Dev holding
Dev holding is the share of supply still held by the wallet that created the token. Pump.fun creators often buy at launch, and what they do next says a lot:
- Dev holds a large share (for example 10%+): one sell can wipe out the chart. On a migrated token this is a strong red flag.
- Dev sold everything (0%): the classic "dev sold" signal. It sounds bad, but it also means the creator can no longer dump. Many traders prefer migrated tokens where the dev is out.
- Dev holds a small share and keeps building: often seen on community-driven tokens, but verify it together with insider supply.
Dev holding and insiders go together
A creator who wants to look clean can move tokens to other wallets before launch or buy through fresh wallets. In that case dev holding shows 0% while the creator still controls a large share. That is why you should always read dev holding together with insider and bundler supply: the real "team" share is roughly dev + insiders + bundlers.
Holder count
The number of holders completes the picture. A token with 30 holders and top 10 at 40% is very different from one with 2,000 holders and top 10 at 15%. As a reference, the Edge Rugcheck presets require at least 20 holders for New Pairs, 80 for Final Stretch and 150 for Migrated.
Key takeaways
- Use the top 10 figure that excludes pools — otherwise the number is meaningless after migration.
- The acceptable concentration drops as the token matures.
- Dev at 0% is not proof of safety: add insider and bundler supply to it.
