Check if a Solana token is a rug pull

Edge Rugcheck is a free Solana rug checker and pump.fun token checker. Rug Check Filters Compared: New Pairs vs Final Stretch vs Migrated

Edge Rugcheck uses a different filter set for each stage of a Pump.fun memecoin. Limits get stricter as the token matures. Critical checks apply to every stage: the token must not be flagged as rugged, mint and freeze authority must be revoked, and at least an X profile or community must be linked.

Filter New Pairs Final Stretch Migrated
RugCheck risk score ≤ 70 ≤ 60 ≤ 50
Top 10 holders ≤ 35% ≤ 30% ≤ 20%
Dev holding ≤ 10% ≤ 5% ≤ 0%
Snipers holding ≤ 15% ≤ 10% ≤ 5%
Bundlers holding ≤ 20% ≤ 15% ≤ 10%
Insiders holding ≤ 20% ≤ 15% not checked
Holders ≥ 20 ≥ 80 ≥ 150
Market cap ≥ $5K ≥ $15K ≥ $45K
Liquidity not checked not checked ≥ $6K
Volume 24h / market cap ≥ 30% ≥ 50% ≥ 35%
Organic score not checked ≥ 20 ≥ 30
LP burned / locked not checked not checked ≥ 95%

How to read the results
  • Verdict — High risk means a critical check failed (token flagged as rugged, mint or freeze authority still active). Passes all filters means every active filter is met; Caution means one or two filters failed.
  • Filter checks — each card shows the live value, the rule of the active profile (for example "≤ 20%") and a status: pass, fail, n/a when data is not available yet, or off when the filter is disabled.
  • Preset vs Custom — the matching stage is suggested automatically when you scan a token (bonding curve → New Pairs or Final Stretch, graduated → Migrated); you can switch at any time. In Custom you set every threshold yourself.
  • Snipers, bundlers, insiders — the share of supply these wallets still hold, plus how many were detected. "9 wallets · 0%" means 9 wallets sniped the launch and all of them have already sold. The data provider is shown next to the section title because every provider defines these groups differently.
  • Top 10 holders excludes liquidity pools and the bonding curve; dev holding is the creator wallet's current share.
  • Tax — total swap fee on each buy and sell from Pump.fun's official fee table (1.25% on the bonding curve, decreasing with market cap after migration). Fees paid is the SOL traders spent on bot fees, tips and network fees.
  • Market data refreshes about every 10 seconds, holder and security data every 60 seconds. Use Pause to freeze the view.
FAQ

What is Edge Rugcheck?

Edge Rugcheck is a free Solana rug checker and memecoin token scanner. Paste a token contract address and it shows the on-chain risk signals traders look at before buying: snipers, bundlers, insiders, dev holding, top 10 holders, liquidity, LP burn, mint and freeze authority, Pump.fun tax and total fees paid. It is read-only: no wallet connection and no transactions.

How do I check if a Solana token is a rug pull?

Paste the contract address (CA) into Edge Rugcheck. Start with the critical checks: the token must not be flagged as rugged, and mint and freeze authority must be revoked. Then look at supply concentration (top 10 holders, dev holding), launch activity (snipers, bundlers, insiders) and liquidity. No checker can guarantee a token is safe, but these signals catch most obvious rug setups.

What are snipers, bundlers and insiders?

Snipers are wallets that bought in the very first blocks after launch. Bundlers bought through coordinated transactions landing in the same or adjacent slots, often controlled by one entity. Insiders are wallets linked to the creator, for example funded by or receiving tokens directly from the dev wallet. A high share of supply in any of these groups means a few players can dump on everyone else.

Why do sniper or bundle percentages differ from Axiom, GMGN or other tools?

There is no universal definition. Each data provider decides how many blocks after launch count as sniping, how close transactions must be to count as a bundle, and how wallets are linked as insiders. Edge Rugcheck shows which provider supplied each value so you know which definition you are reading. Top 10 holders, dev holding, LP burn and authorities are objective on-chain values and match across tools.

What do the New Pairs, Final Stretch and Migrated presets mean?

They are ready-made filter sets for the three stages of a Pump.fun memecoin. New Pairs are tokens just launched on the bonding curve, Final Stretch are tokens close to completing the bonding curve, and Migrated are tokens that graduated to a DEX pool. Each stage has different normal values, so thresholds are stricter as the token matures. Use the Custom tab to set your own filters.

What does LP burned mean on Solana?

LP tokens represent ownership of a liquidity pool. If they are burned or locked, nobody can withdraw the pool's liquidity, which removes the classic liquidity-pull rug. Pump.fun tokens that migrate to PumpSwap usually have their LP burned automatically. Tokens still on the bonding curve have no LP yet.

What is the tax shown for Pump.fun tokens?

It is the total swap fee charged on every buy and sell, split between creator, protocol and liquidity providers. On the Pump.fun bonding curve it is a flat 1.25%. After migration to PumpSwap it decreases in tiers as the market cap in SOL grows, down to 0.30% for the largest tokens. Edge Rugcheck applies Pump.fun's official fee table.

What are fees paid?

Fees paid is the total amount of SOL traders have spent on a token in trading-bot fees, priority tips and network fees. It is a rough measure of how much real trading activity a token has attracted: a token with high volume but very low fees paid may be driven by a few bots.

If a token passes all filters, is it safe to buy?

No. Passing the filters means the token shows none of the risk signals you selected at the moment of the check. Memecoins remain extremely volatile, holders can change in seconds and new risks can appear after you buy. Edge Rugcheck is an informational tool, not financial advice.

Is Edge Rugcheck free? Do I need to connect a wallet?

Edge Rugcheck is free and works without connecting a wallet. It only reads public on-chain and market data and never asks for signatures or private keys.
